Richard's Story

After majoring in English and creative writing at San Francisco State University (BA 1982, MA 1989), I finally had my novel, THE VAMPIRE GIRL NEXT DOOR, published in January, 2012. You can check out my novel's website simply by typing the title with no spaces between the words. On the site, you'll find the front and back cover, a 4-minute video book trailer, a free reading sample, book reviews by the press, and interesting links to places and things in the novel. My one-sentence description of the novel: "Mark falls in love with Sylvia, the beautiful, but quirky girl next door, not realizing that she's a vampire who killed his last neighbor." el combines horror, romance, and humor. In 2014, my first novel, THE VAMPIRE GIRL NEXT DOOR, was a finalist in the Readers' Favorite Book Awards contest and named a Notable Book Page-Turner in the Shelf Unbound Writing Competition. In the summer of 2016, the sequel was published. THE VAMPIRE GIRL IN LONDON, follows the continuing adventures of Mark and Sylvia in London, where they must deal with terrorists, a CIA agent, a vampire-hunting cult, and a mansion full of Sylvia's vampire friends, some of whom she can't really trust. Will Mark and Sylvia's love be enough to survive it all? Find out more by going to my website, thevampiregirlnextdoor dot com.
